Crepes

  1. Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Beat with rotary beater until smooth.

  2. For each crepe, lightly butter 8” skillet; heat over medium heat until butter is bubbly. Pour scant ¼ cup of the batter into skillet; immediately rotate pan until butter covers bottom. Cook until lightly brown; turn and brown on other side.

  3. If desired, while warm spread with applesauce, sweetened strawberries, currant jelly or raspberry jam thinly on crepes; roll up. Sprinkle with sugar.

Note

Make a savory crepe by adding thinly sliced meat, cheese and spices, or a breakfast crepe by adding egg, bacon and cheese.
