Separate eggs. Beat yolks until light. Add water and beat more. Add 1 c. sugar, vanilla, salt and flour. Beat well for 10 minutes. Take another dish and beat the whites with a pinch of salt until stiff but not dry. Add ½ c. sugar and beat to a point. Fold whites into the yolks. Bake in slow oven, 350 degrees, for 1 hour.
