All-American Flag Dessert

  1. Stir 1½ cups boiling water each into blue and red jello in separate bowls at least 2 minutes until dissolved. Stir 1½ cups cold water into each bowl.

  2. Spray 9 x 13 pan with no-stick cooking spray; place on cookie sheet. Pour blue jello into pan. Refrigerate 45 minutes until set but not firm (jello should stick to finger when touched and should mound). Refrigerate red jello in bowl 45 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, stir remaining 1 cup boiling water into lemon jello in bowl at least 2 minutes until dissolved. Refrigerate 25 minutes or until slightly thickened (consistency of unbeaten egg whites), stirring occasionally. Stir in whipped topping with wire whisk. Gently spread over blue jello in pan. Refrigerate 10 minutes or until set but not firm. Gently spoon thickened red jello over mixture in pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight until firm. Decorate with additional whipped topping and fruit to resemble a flag.
