  1. In medium saucepan, mix Knox gelatin, sugar and cocoa; blend in egg yolks beaten with 1 c. milk. Stir over low heat until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add remaining milk and vanilla and chill, stirring occasionally, until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from spoon.

  2. In large bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gradually add gelatin mixture and beat until mixture doubles in volume, about 5 minutes. Turn into 8 dessert dishes or 4 cup bowl and chill until set.
