Christmas Cookie Dough

Ingredients

  1. Cream butter until soft in medium sized bowl; gradually add sugar, creaming after each addition until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift in flour and salt. Blend well to form a stiff dough. Chill 2 or 3 hours until firm enough to roll easily.

  2. Roll out dough in small amounts, keeping remaining dough refrigerated. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-10 minutes or until edges of cookies turn golden brown.

Make a double batch for Christmas cookies and use a double batch of the Royal Icing recipe.
