Mix sugar and butter. Add eggs and flavorings; mix thoroughly. Stir dry ingredients together and blend into sugar mixture. Refrigerate till chilled to make rolling easier. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut with decorative Christmas cookie cutters. Bake 7-8 minutes or until delicately golden.
Note
Dough may be divided into portions. Each portion of dough can be colored with food coloring. Roll the colored dough and cut with cookie cutters.
