Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shortening (part butter)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

    Cream together shortening and sugars. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
