Poppy Seed Cake

  1. Cream together shortening and sugar and add poppy seed mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add to first mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.
