  1. Combine all the above ingredients in the slow cooker.

  2. Cover and cook on low 8 hours in a 4-6 quart slow cooker. Spoon into bowls.

Note

Garnish with a little cheddar cheese and diced onion, if desired.

If you are not using raw chicken, just add the cooked chicken about an hour before the end of the cooking time.
