Makes about 1 3/4 pounds
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine margarine, vanilla and salt in bowl and blend well. Gradually beat in sugar. Add flour and chocolate chips; mix well. Press evenly into ungreased 10 x 15 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts over top. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool, then break into irregular pieces and drain on absorbent paper.
