Toll House Pan Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cup unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 12 oz chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into greased 10 x 15 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool; cut into 2 inch squares.

Note

Recipe may be divided in half. Spread into greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Makes 24, 2 inch squares.
