White Cake

  1. Prepare 9 x 13 inch pan. Sift flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt and sugar together. Add ¾ c. of the milk. Add the shortening. Mix and stir 2 minutes. Add egg whites (not beaten) and vanilla along with the rest of the milk and beat 2 minutes more. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
